Position: Visitation Specialist

Job Description: Visitation Specialist supervises court ordered visits (called Family Time) with child(ren) and their parent(s), or siblings. Visitation Specialist are responsible for ensuring and encouraging positive and appropriate behavior during visits. The child(ren) safety is the responsibility of the visitation specialist. During the visit, visitation specialist will monitor, write and submit a visit report.

Requirements (must have):

· Current CPR/First aid card

· Auto insurance

· Proof of Diploma/GED

· Resume

· Car seat training and completion statement. *We offer training*

· 20 Hours of Visit Supervisor training. *We offer training*

Minimum Qualifications:

*At least twenty-one (21) years of age.

*Minimum Eighteen (18) months experience working with children and families in the following settings: Daycare or family home setting as a Child Care Provider or babysitting, school setting, residential care program, or as a licensed foster parent, or have worked directly with children and families in a community service organization such as, but not limited to, a scouting organization, or sports program.

Necessary Skills:

We are looking for Self-starters. People who take initiative, can work independently. We are looking for people who are self motivated and take action without requiring additional prompting from supervisors.

Knowledge of child safety, effective problem solving, excellent verbal and written communication, knowledge of basic child development and milestones, effective interpersonal communication.
